Referring to my #: 151 of the 10th inst., I now as directed by His Excellency the Governor-beg to report on the state of the Sea Wall

at Kowloon.

The Wall completed opposite

Marine Lots 4, 5 and 23 and about

100 feet opposite Government ground West of the steps at the end of Mercer Street has been in no way injured by the Typhoon; the remainder of the Sea Wall Northwards however-

has been so injured by vessels and junk's passing over it; and by the force of the sea, that all masonry

above the footing needs to be

rebuilt. Of this length 100 feet

has been paid for in full by the

Tenants

The Honorable

Acting Colonial Secretary
