Amongst the receipts into the Colonial Treasury during the month of October last I observe an entry of $1000 received through you as the amount of a Bond given by Messrs Heure and Company with respect to the Emigrant Ship "Fairlight" which Bond was forfeited for non-compliance with the terms of the Chinese Passengers Act of 1855.
