desired by the Registrar,
at the command of the Court, to rise while the
Contempt proceeded to address him
496
M. Pollard rose and said. "Mr Registrar
I am addressed by the officer of the
Court and not by the bench to rise
and stand while the Court addresses me
I seek to know in what capacity I
am to look upon
myself at this moment, whether as a member of the Bar or
I wish to add that
a defendant.
'I do this without any disrespect to the
Court - But the question although
I may be
wrong
because of this it
affects my rights and
rights and position.
Answer - (read by the Registrar but
written by the Chief Justice) As a person guilty of contempt of Court whose
offence
is much greater because you
are a
Barrister at Law and an
