It so happens that not merely was Mr Berkeley obliged to return to Europe, but Mr Ballard the leading Practitioner at the local Bar is also leaving for Europe in a few days, and may possibly be absent from the Colony for a long time. This would have left only one practitioner here. While with the exception of another gentleman of recent arrival, who may be regarded as roving in quest of practice without as yet enjoying much Public confidence.
