At 5.30 p.m. on the 25" ultimo Koo. Sung ting, Master of the salt junk Sung Hoop Lee, reported that about 1 p.m. on that day he had been attacked by a piratical junk about four miles off the ... Ju Jan (moon 門頭虎).
His crew consisted of 15 men; his cargo of 100 pigs, some baskets of fowls, some mat bags, bundles of mat, and some ... were fired.
About 6 or 8 musket shots were fired, and on coming alongside stinkpots were threwn, severely burning Seung Ting and others.
This report was made to me on the 25th ultimo on board H. M. G. "Havoc".
