The said Mr. Lluch binds himself, as follows; viz.
That from the day which is to be restored as the first of my engagement for the eight years, he is to pay me my wages as agreed to, but not if the disease be contracted through my non-fault.
4° He binds himself to give me two suits of clothes, a wooden shirt and one blanket yearly. He also binds himself to pay me the wages of four dollars per month, or its equivalent in gold.
He binds himself to pay me monthly the said wages during the said eight years.
He binds to give me right of wholesome and nourishing food. In case of illness I am to be provided in the Infirmary with medical assistance, medicine, &c., which may be required during all the time of my engagement.
My passage to Havana and maintenance on board during the passage are to be paid by the said D. P. Lluch.
6th Mr. Lluch is to pay me in advance eight dollars in gold or silver for the necessaries for the voyage, and I bind myself to repay the said sum from Havana to his order by deduction of one dollar per month from my wages by the person to whom this be transferred; and let agreement may
