"Thunder". I beg to observe that this Bill
includes the sum
of £99.10s, paid to the Chinese
who accompanied the men
sent in
July 1st, being balance of wages due on his
return to Wongtong.
The enclosed Account Current of the Acting Colonial Treasurer shews in detail the transactions up to date connected with the engagement and discharge of the Sappers.
In the event of Colonel Cavenagh
deciding to send the men
by
the "Thunder" to Calcutta, & further
for passage money will be drawn
