when thoroughly and mutually acquainted with the reasonable requirements of each service, to mature some plan of combined action for extending the Prayan in front of the Cantonments, and also in front of the Eastern portion of the town is from the gradual silting up of the debris brought down by the Military Nullah, and other drains, the Sanitary State of the foreshore of the Harbor is such as to be seriously prejudicial to the health of all residents in town whether civilian or Military.

10. His Excellency is most desirous that these questions being of equal importance to all Her Majesty's Subjects here, should be discussed in a spirit calculated to produce results beneficial to all, but he feels that he ought in the first place to be put in possession of the plans already transmitted by the Engineer departments, so as to enable him completely to cooperate when such cooperation may be expedient.
