Large Sluice Valves included in Mr. Wilson's Requisition for the new Reservoir at Pokfulam
I have the honor to enclose a full explanatory statement of that officer.
It appears from Mr. Gibson's explanation that Mr. Rawlinson has inadvertently mistaken the dimensions of the Culverts 6 foot by 3 for those of the Valve - which are intended to be 2 feet only.
This may be considered as disposing of the objections raised by Mr. Rawlinson under misconception of what had been sent in duplicate for approval, but nevertheless it is desirable that Mr. Wilson's explanations – which contain some fresh matter – should be brought under Mr. Rawlinson's consideration, as it is probable that so eminent an authority on the subject may be enabled to supply some additional and valuable advice.
