In reply to your letter, I would observe that it appears that the papers handed over to the community were not satisfactory. Before judging the predictions of the Braves, I hadDonnell the Governor, with Richard to the Right Honorable the Earl of Clarendon, C.B.
Regarding the correspondence as to the lighting of beacons with Sir Rutherford Alcock, it presumes the existence of an already existing position of the 7-6.
As to the imposition at HK, I think it fair that the HK Shipping ought not to escape paying their share of the expenses incurred in navigation.
I think that if the Colony paid it, it would be more satisfactory and relieve Shipping from holding the contrary argument.
