We beg to acknowledge receipt of your despatch of the 28 ultimo informing us of the kind care taken by the Governor of Nanking of the shipwrecked people. We cannot express our great gratitude to the Governor for the great kindness shown by him and will shortly take opportunity of writing to him to say so.
