With regard to the reference had in the letter from your Office No. 531 to the Report of the Commission of Enquiry, I have to state most respectfully that having already formally denied the conclusions set forth in that Report and, I conceive, satisfactorily met the imputations cast upon the Treasury, I have nothing further to add and I await with patience and with a sense of conscious rectitude the decision of the Secretary of State.
