OFFICE OF SURVEYOR GENERAL
(Art. of Ingons, No. 38.)
ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE NECESSARY TO BE INCURRED FOR
Repairs to Bridges -
REPORT AND ESTIMATE No. 15 OF 1886,
DATED 1 January 1887.
PLAN OR DESCRIPTION.
PARTICULARS.
LABOUR.
During the past year the Bridges on the Pokfulam winding Causeway Road have been widened from 10 feet to 15 feet making a considerable improvement to the Road - especially when the Bridges occur at sharp turns where coolies are employed.
The Causeway on the road between Aberdeen and Hong Kong is very much out of repair, and it is proposed this year to make it passable for horses, with very slight expense the road may then be made passable for carriages through to Little Hong Kong from Victoria.
This Report and Estimate is in support also of Casual repairs to Bridges throughout the Colony.
Approved,
MacDonnell
