The Private Secretary should be supplied with a Folio Book for entry of those letters and Despatches which the Governor may have occasion to send on matters of Public business not through the channel of the Colonial Secretary, but of which nevertheless it is desirable that a record should be kept.
The Private Secretary will also require two Index Books, one of letters sent and one of letters received. The forms for letters sent and received are subjoined.
