"His Excellency considers that have for Military claim Fr Irwin may or Naval Service does not affect the Colony, and concludes by remarking that out of the 10 years on which the Pension has been calculated, Dr Irwin's resident Service has been but little over 8 years and a half.
"Whereupon, it is unanimously Resolved that a Pension at the rate of £266. 13. 4 per annum be granted to Dr Irwin out of the Colonial fund, commencing from the 18th May, 1886."
