It will be my gratifying duty in a subsequent despatch to report to your Lordship the complete success of the measures adopted for the Registration of Native Vessels on sea, and Householders on land. The details are being closely watched and are being adapted to this end, whilst the difficulties and "disastrous" consequences prophesied by a portion of the Press have, like other difficulties, disappeared when fairly resolved and overcome.
