Requests that Mot Creagh, Inspector of Police in the Punjaub, may be allowed to transfer his services to the Hongkong Government, and to enlist 100 Sikh Police for duty in the colony.

I am directed by His Excellency Sir Richard Graves MacDonnell to inform you that on the 15th instant this letter was laid before his Executive Council.

The letter of the 7th October in which you state the circumstances and conditions under which you can procure for the services of 100 Sikh Government Police, of whom you are to retain command, and who are to be entrusted with Giles Vandeleur Creagh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Multan, Punjaub, India.
