season of the year, to defer my departure
from England until September next, I have
-Conditionally taken
my passage for
my
"Hong Kong by the Mail which will leave Marseilles on the 12th of that month. My wife, my daughter and my youngest son will accompany me.
It is necessary for me to obtain and I now respectfully ask for the usual Order for a Government Contract passage so that I may as
early as practicable secure the four Berths.
I should feel much obliged by information as to the advantages to which
particular the Contract entitles me,
as to abatement on the passage money
and the time it becomes payable, and
as to quantity of baggage which I may
