My Lord,

We have the honour of making this application to your Lordship requesting the favour of being furnished with a copy of the Colonial regulations Cap 1 See : III, Articles 33, 34 respecting receipts of presents by the Governor of a Colony, or other Colonial Officers.

We make this application at the request and on behalf of Messrs. Merry & Co. of 32 Gresham House in this City, to whom has been returned the Service of plate presented to The Honourable Chief Justice late by various Firms to whom he had rendered professional assistance during the time he held the appointment of Attorney General at Hong Kong, requesting the favour of an early reply.
