In reply, for the information of Sir Mr Secretary Cardwell, "that he has signified his approval of the transfer of the Land in question to the Colonial government, with a view to its being handed over to the Imperial Government on the conditions.
I am therefore to request that you move Mr Secretary Cardwell to cause the necessary instructions to be given to the local authorities concerned for carrying the proposition into Effect.
