I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 124 of the 14th Sept. recommending that the Surveyor General, Votorshong, should receive an allowance of $40 a month from the 3rd of May last, in consequence of the Imperial allowance of $200 a year having been withdrawn.
