I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to state for the information of the Captain General & Governor, that their Lordships will not withhold their concurrence with his Lordship's Recommendation, as conveyed in your letter of the 6th ult., that a monthly allowance of $40 a month should be granted, to the Surveyor General acting as Commissioner of Stamps, Hong Kong, the allowance to date from the 31st of March last as recommended by the Governor.
