The expense of the proposed reservation at Pokedhum has already received their Lordships' approval by their letter of Inst.
They observe that the Estimate (page 3), shew a balance at the commencement of the year 1866 of $184,107, while it is estimated that, at the end of that year there will be a surplus of $85,107 only; and at the end of the year 1867 of only $68,322.
365 expenditure somewhat within the limits of the Estimate in view of the smallness of the Balance out of which unforeseen contingencies will have to be met.
