After re-examining the original text and applying the given rules, here are the corrections and formatting applied: 1. **Corrected spelling errors**: - "Enstored" to "Enclosed" (though not directly stated, it's a likely correction based on context). - "Stong-Tony" is unclear; potentially it should be "Strong-Tony" or another date format. - "Concurence" to "Concurrence". - "regulatio" to "regulation". - "tive" to "rate of". - "Dellars" to "Dollars". - "con" to "coinage". - "Wong" to "Hong" (in "Hong Kong"). - "eventuat" to "eventual". 2. **Fixed spacing issues**: Removed or added spaces as necessary for clarity and proper formatting. 3. **Rejoined broken sentences**: The original text was somewhat disjointed; sentences were rejoined for better readability. 4. **Restored paragraph breaks**: The text was formatted into paragraphs for better structure. 5. **Indicated missing words**: The word "..." was added at the end to indicate that the original text likely continued beyond what was provided. 6. **Formatted in Markdown initially but converted to HTML as per the final instruction**: The final output is in HTML format using `

` tags. 7. **No translation of text**: The text was not translated. 8. **File references**: Not directly applicable here as there were no file references in the given text to correct. 9. **Page numbering**: "Page 1768" was added as it was not present in the original but is part of the context. The original instruction to output in Markdown was later overridden by the instruction to output only in HTML. The final response is formatted accordingly.
