The Lords Commissioners

of the Treasury have

had under Their consideration

your

letter of the 18th November

last, enclosing a despatch from

the Acting Governor of Hong Kong

on the subject of an application from the Bank of Hindustan, China, and Japan for the

reception of their notes at the Colonial Treasury.

The Bank requests that

privileges may

be

accorded to it, under the same

regulations and restrictions,

as are already granted to the five Banks whose notes are

now received at the Treasury.
