of expenses of this kind incurred in the instances. I am to observe that in my case in which the Applicants for the Inquiry are condemned in the Costs this Board think there might reasonably be included, as part of such Costs, the daily remuneration to the Members of the Court, provided the rate has been fixed by the Colonial Government and not by the Members of the Court themselves.
I am to add that if there is any fund in the Colony, such as that which in this Country arises from the proceeds of unclaimed Wreck, it might, as has before been suggested to the Colonial Office, be applied towards the expenses attending these Inquiries.
