In refily to your enquiry as to the lit and quality of Mexican Dollars, I have to state that by far the larger proportion of the arrivals consists of the "Mo" "I" and "pi" Dollars, the average weight of which is a trifle under 8680 to $1000.
All Mexican Dollars are stamped 10d. 20ges Which is equal to Worse 5's dwt; or nearly 903, but it is not found as a rule that they are equal. The general average of those usually received being about bir susto Worse than standard.
Some parcels of a new description of Dollars have lately come to hand, which bear the Mint mark "o", and are both heavier (869/$1000) and better in quality (Worse 4 dwt-with 4 grains Gold folt.) than the usual sorts, While others have been found as Coarce as Worse 802 duts.
We subjoin reports of a few of the descriptions most generally received of the Print & are. Dear Sir, Your Obedt Servt (Signed) Moratta & Goldsmid.
