I do myself the honour of announcing to Your Lordship that Mr Svarteck, hitherto Royal Prussian Agent at Hong Kong, has withdrawn from that post, and that, in consequence thereof, Mr von Carlowitz, the Royal Consul at Canton, as whose authorized agent the said Overbeck had been duly acknowledged by the British Government, has been charged for the present with the transaction of the business of the Royal Prussian Agency at Hong Kong.
