I am directed by the Earl of Clarendon to transmit to you, to be laid before Mr. Secretary Cardwell, a copy of a Note from the Netherlands Minister at this Court stating that M. W. C. van Dorde, Netherlands Consul at Hongkong, has been appointed, and requesting that Her Majesty's Exequatur may be issued to that gentleman to enable him to act in the above capacity; and I am to request that Mr. Cardwell will move His Lordship to inform Lord Clarendon if there is any objection to the issue of such Exequatur to M. Van Dorde.
