Copies of articles relating to Piracy extracted from the printed Station orders issued by the Naval Commander in Chief in China for the guidance of the commanding Officers of Her Majesty's ships on this Station.

Complaints having frequently been made by the Chinese Government through the British Minister at Pekin, of the destruction of Junks by Her Majesty's ships for alleged acts of violence or oppression; the following instructions are issued for the guidance of the Officers in command of Her Majesty's ships on this Station, which may at any future time be employed on the coast or in the rivers of China.
