formed the subject of Col. Sykes' representation of the 20th of last July, should be referred to us as soon
as they should be received, & he was
accordingly. with
how directed by J. d. to transmit to us reference to that letter & to our Report of the 20th ulto, & letters from the Colonial Office, the last enclosing a Report from Acting Govr Hennessy & 2 despatches from Consul Robertson respecting the Case of this man ; & to "request that we would take the Same into our consideration & report to you our opinion thereupon.
