In the execution of this order much unavoidable delay appears to have been experienced, and the Mint authorities finally delivered to the Crown Agents the two half-yearly quantities of Silver Coins within a fortnight of each other, and they shipped (together with the first moiety of Bronze coins) by Her Majesty's Steamer "Pearl" in June last.

There remain to be now supplied Bronze Coins to the value of $30,000 only, making the total value of the order $150,000 instead of $180,000, as conjectured by Sir R. MacDonnell. I have the honour to be,
