Referring to Mr. Julyan's letter
of the 11th ultimo, I have now to
acquaint you that as the acceptance
for £10,000 of the Agra + Masterman's
Bank, Limited, has not been
paid at maturity, the Bank of England, as the holders of the Acceptance, have given formal notice of non-payment to all named in it, including the Colonial Treasurer of Hong Kong.
