In compliance with the directions contained in your letter of the 5th instant, I have the honor to acquaint you, for the information of Mr Secretary Cardwell, that the Coining Press therein referred to was shipped on board the "Punjab" on the 27th December for Hong Kong.

After the completion of the Press it was necessarily delayed by the Crown Agents until a proper Vessel was ready to receive it on board, but not a moment later.
