Although the account the Colony has already been drawn upon to the extent of £10,500,
I am compelled to express my regret that the instructions which I have given from time to time, having regard to the depth of the job to keep the Agents supplied and to meet all attendant charges in connection with the coming coinage, have not been fully carried out.
I have the honor to transmit to you the enclosed claims from Messrs Ralph Keaton and Sons, amounting to the sum of Two thousand two hundred and thirty-nine pounds five shillings, on account of a coinage of Bronze Mils in course of preparation for the Hong Kong Government under letter from the Colonial Office,
and also to state that the sum of £861.5.0 has been drawn in connection with this matter.
