I have the honor to transmit to you, for the information of Secretary Cardwell, a letter and its inclosure addressed to this Department by the Acting Colonial Secretary of Hong Kong, directing the Crown Agents to pay the sum of £17.14.2, the residue of the Estate of the late Police Sergeant M. E. March, to such persons as may be legally entitled to it.
I also enclose a document signed by the deceased's widow who claims the sum in question;
