I have the honour to report that according to your orders I left the port on Tuesday evening for the purpose of cruising to the West.
On Wednesday morning soon after daylight I closed the Village of Pak Tai. I captured two Pirate junks near the shore. I then proceeded to the Westward examining different Islands & creeks.
On Thursday, I went further West and searched St John and Hauchen Islands. Some of the Villagers in the latter Island informed me that they were constantly visited by pirates who came in large broad boats with 20, or 30, men which invariably took away 10 or 12 people from the Village.
