arrival I discovered five pirate junks. Close in shore disposing of their Booty. The extreme shallowness of this portion of Mirs Bay Sound rendered their position tolerably safe. Nevertheless, I was able to get within about two thousand yards of them in the gun boat when I boarded them in my boats and captured them with very little difficulty.

Grading 103 - Sending that one was a quite which had been Captured by the Pirates handed her over to the Brandenburg Authorities here / with five Chinese junks which were captured. The remainder I burnt at the request of the Mandarin who accompanied me.
In rescuing the first stranded vessel the boats' Crew experienced some little resistance being fired on from the Shore huts.
No Casualties took place.
