Jool. on the 11th of this month in accordance with Art 6 "Larchow Station orders" I visited the Southern portion of ly. On communicating with the Chinese Authorities in the Haritan Straits I found that several piratical vessels were supposed to be lurking in Mirs Bay Sound a few miles to the South.
Therefore as of late great depredations had been made by Pirates to the South & (such as the sacking of the Schooner "Garland" and another European Vessel off Amoy) I explored every part of the Sound in question. and although I fear that the Worse offenders had cleared out I have sent a warning to Hong Kong.
