The lie Mau who advances and with own hand holds of the villein shall get Twenty-five dollars, the other Twenty-five dollars shall be equally divided among all who have assisted.
If any one be wounded by the robbers the Street will employ a doctor, and do everything for him till he is quite well; and on him money, as shall be agreed upon, in common deliberation, according to the lightness or severity of his wound. Should it prove mortal, the Street will give Four hundred dollars for the solacement of his family, and the expenses of burial, all things connected with his funeral and burial being attended to by the deceased's family.
II Should any thieves be attempting to commit depredations on the property of any, whether Chinese or foreigners, one of our Street, who catches but one of them on the spot shall get Four dollars. All other regulations agreed upon by our Street, and supported by subscriptions, may be common-den.
