The ferment which was excited some time back is rapidly cooling down, and I have good reason to believe that a considerable portion of the original agitation was raised wilfully by some though ignorance of others added much to what was almost a general disquietude, but this agitation is almost at an end owing to the adoption of means already mentioned.
