Mr. Tomlin the Superintendent has been named to a post in the Surveyor General's office with equal salary in succession to Mr. Power, but with the advantage of Quarters to which he was entitled by the original conditions on which he accepted office.

As the most economical plan, I have compromised this claim for Quarters for a dollar for dinner, & 365 dollars a year.

The Interpreter has been placed at the Magistracy, a vacancy having occurred there.

5.

The Warden and Turnkey have been put into situations in Victoria Gaol.

The Clerk, Mr. Collage, is the only one still unprovided for, and as two Departments have already objected to him, I may have some difficulty in finding him a situation.
