Year 1848, a considerable reduction in the Establishment of the Surveyor General was

proposed for 1849, and the Surveyor General recommended

that my salary should be reduced by £30 per Annum;

was allowed by Governor Bonham and my salary

for the year 1849 was reduced accordingly;
