625. Men returning they by a 2 piratical boats- one with 5 men and the other a small Sampan fishing boat with about 10 men, who approached fired several shots alongside, boarded and took possession. They threw the luggage from the boat into the water and towed her in a Westerly direction. At the time of boarding, the informant and another jumped overboard and swam to Nam Tau, where they hired a fishing boat to bring them here. Can identify several of the Pirates (about 10) also the piratical boats. Value of boat $50 and property $20.

With reference to Piracy reported on 28th instant, where a Flower boat having 13 persons on board was carried away, and a Sampan, one Duskah, a small fishing yen, being the crew carried off on that occasion.
