The junk "Hidigo", with cargo of 20 bales of cotton, 100 piculs of salt fish, 20 pieces of straw matting, 1000 bundles of bamboo hoops, and sundries, left the Praya West yesterday morning when sailing for Fai-wan with very light wind. When just outside the Ly-cee, she was attacked by a felucca and two armed boats having on board about 20 armed men, who came alongside, took possession of the junk and sailed her away. One of the crew named "The Fook" jumped overboard and swam ashore and reported the circumstance, upon which he returned to Hongkong. He has been sent round the harbour in company of Police to make search. Value of Cargo taken away $18,400, the property of the Chinese Merchants in Bonham's Grand – Value of Junk $2000.
