to the Hon'ble the

Colonial Secretary of 27th April last.

Should His Excellency

be pleased to remove

the restriction with regard to my private practice, I may mention that I

would be prepared to

confine myself rather

to the duties of a

Consulting Engineer than

that of an architect, –

and should fill up my

spare time with occasionally

making valuations and

surveys of property, or inspections for Insurance Companies.

His Excellency has

stated his intention of referring back my application for Horse Allowance to the Right Hon'ble the Secretary

of State and I believe

has been waiting till
