"Advice of the Legislative Council thereof," for altering the time of the vacation of the Supreme Court, and to provide for the granting of Interim Injunctions in case of the absence or illness of the Chief Justice.

2.

I enclose opinion of Attorney General on the Ordinance, which requires but little explanation. I think the change it proposes in the period of vacation a wise one, and I am only surprised that the vacation had ever been fixed so late as the 20th September, the date at which the heat of Summer begins to subside and a residence here becomes comparatively endurable. The provision for granting injunctions "ad interim" during vacation supplies a defect in the pre-existing law.

I have the honor to be Your Lordship's most Obedient Servant,

28 Governor
