Several indispensable Articles, in specified and in other Apartments necessarily connected with the former, are of an indifferent description and must have been so when originally bought.

In the accompanying Inventory we have pointed out what we condemn and recommend should be replaced at an early date.

With regard to the Billiard Table imported from England, and known to members of our Staff to have been in the Colony anterior to the year 1857 we would suggest that it should be sold at auction before it becomes entirely unserviceable and that a "Slate" Table with all accessories and Lamps be imported as it is made of material more likely to stand the injurious effects of the Climate than a Table made of wood.

All other Articles also condemned by our Board as shown in the enclosed Inventory, we suggest should be sold at Auction and immediately replaced.

We have, &c.
