has addressed with
a
view to the suppression
of Piracy
in the
Chin Lien.
Their Lordships will
observe from the concluding paragraphs of that dispatch that the
Governor has made provision for the partial maintenance
by the Colonial Government of an
Armed Steamer
to be employed
in
that
Service
and to the fact that the Ordinances
for the regulation of which may be considered
as part
of the scheme for the Suppression of Piracy have been confirmed.

great weight

looking to part
of the
Correspondence on
this subject, he
would suggest
the following proposals
for the
consideration of
Admiral Kenders. If the
