In fact to make a great success of it even under a seignorage will not nearly pay the cost of working the Establishment, it will therefore be necessary to carry to its Credit Coinage which until a much larger Coining power is applied, would not go far towards the desired result.

Supposing all the existing presses were adapted to coin 10 Cent pieces and that the other departments were enabled to find the required number of blanks and that by working 10 hours instead of ... more favorable state 7 many as 80,000 could be produced per day the seignorage would only amount £32 whilst the profit of things, will require not only a large increase to the Staff but considerable addition to the machinery.

The subsidiary coinage on the mere ... to £160 say would be about £200.
